Our work can be challenging at times, but it is also incredibly rewarding, and our teams make a real difference to people's lives.

We’re looking for a Floating Admin Support colleague who is organised, proactive and confident working across different teams. The main purpose of this role is to provide flexible ward reception cover across our inpatient services, whilst also helping to maintain consistent administrative support when required.

This is more than a general admin role. You’ll work closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to help keep our wards running smoothly, providing reception cover where needed and supporting other administrative tasks when required.

### Main duties of the job

What you’ll do:

- Provide ward reception cover across inpatient services.
- Respond to general enquiries, direct visitors to the appropriate areas and liaise with ward staff as needed.
- Support the day-to-day running of ward receptions, including handling telephone calls, messages and general administrative tasks.
- Complete scanning, uploading and filing of documents,
- Ensure patient and staff records are accurate and up to date.
- Complete general day-to-day administrative tasks to support ward teams and the wider service.
- Work flexibly across different wards and teams, adapting to changing service needs and priorities.

What we’re looking for:

Someone who is organised, approachable and flexible, with the ability to work across different wards and manage changing priorities. You’ll need to use your initiative, communicate well with different teams and maintain accuracy and confidentiality in a busy hospital environment.
