An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Fleet Supervisor to join the team at our Bolton Workshop.

The role of NWAS Fleet Supervisor is to manage, supervise and control the day-to-day running of the fleet workshop and staff, including vehicle technicians, apprentices, fleet drivers and workshop assistants. Ensure all Trust vehicles (Petrol / Diesel / Hybrid and EV) are serviced, repaired and maintained to the Trust and DVSA’s exacting standards.

### Main duties of the job

The successful applicant must hold a recognised apprenticeship e.g. Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent experience along with NVQ or C&G Level 3 qualifications. Diploma or Certificate in vehicle workshop management, general management, or evidence of relevant supervisory experience. A full UK driving license is essential for this post along with having full category C1 entitlement.

With over 1185 vehicles across the entire NWAS Fleet, each day offers variety.

Operational requirements for the workshops cover 365 days per year via a rotating shift pattern which attracts an additional salary uplift of approximately 12.5% on top of the basic salary banding.

### Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Visa sponsorship is not possible for this role for either candidates or existing employees. This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for Skilled Worker/ Health and Care Worker visas as set out at gov.uk. Graduate visa holders should have no expectation of long-term employment through sponsorship. Additionally, your visa conditions and validity period must allow you to work in the role question and for a suitable period to allow training and execution without requiring sponsorship.

### Experience

**Essential**

- Experience at a supervisory level in the management of fleet maintenance workshops.
- Significant experience of working as a Motor Vehicle Technician in a workshop environment.
- Working knowledge of UK and EU Transport, Construction & Use Regulations, Vehicle Inspectorate Legislation and relevant Codes of Practice relative to Road Transport Management.
- Thorough knowledge of health safety and risk regulations relating to vehicles, equipment’s, workshop and safe working practice.
- Experience in supervision, leadership and managing a team.
- Flexible and highly motivated.
- Project a professional image.

- Full Driving Licence, C1 + D1 or working towards.
