An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Fleet Supervisor to join the team at our Bolton workshop facility

The role of NWAS Workshop Supervisor is to manage, supervise and control the day-to-day running of the fleet workshop and staff including vehicle technicians, apprentices, fleet drivers and workshop assistants. Workshop loading, workflow and logistic efficiency are also key elements of the role.

The Workshop team throughput and productivity, driven by proactive supervisor engagement is vital to ensure reduced down time on all Trust vehicles (Petrol / Diesel / Hybrid and EV) during service, repair and planned maintenance whilst ensure the Trust and DVSAs exacting standards are achieved.

The role also encompasses direct responsibilities for workshop staff training, performance reviews, and compliance with Health and Safety regulations in the workplace.

The successful applicant must hold a recognised apprenticeship e.g. Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent experience along with NVQ or C&G Level 3 qualifications. Diploma or Certificate in vehicle workshop management, general management, or evidence of relevant supervisory experience. A full UK driving license is essential for this post along with having full category C1 entitlement.

Working in a modern workshop environment, our fleet supervisor’s benefit from significant levels of training, job satisfaction, and an opportunity to progress their current skill sets and CPD whilst being supported by a dedicated management team structure, ensuring our teams have everything available to maximize vehicle throughput, reduced workshop delays and minimal supply chain frustrations.

With over 1185 vehicles across the entire NWAS Fleet, each day offers variety.

Operational requirements for the workshops cover 365 days per year via a rotating shift pattern which attracts an additional salary uplift of approximately 12.5% on top of the basic salary banding.

Further benefits include enrollment into the NHS pension scheme, access to discounted NHS car hire schemes, secure on-site parking facilities, cycle to work scheme, childcare vouchers and much more.

- Experience in supervision, leadership and managing a team.

### Qualifications and Education

**Essential**

- NVQ Level 3 Mechanics and Technicians certificate in Motor Vehicle Technology or equivalent, such as City and Guilds
- Diploma or Certificate in vehicle workshop management, general management, or evidence of relevant supervisory experience.
- Full Driving Licence, C1 + D1 or working towards
