### Job overview

We’re looking for a Finance Officer to support the day-to-day operations of our Financial Services team, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across our capital and accounting functions.

Requirements for the role:

- AAT qualified
- Knowledge of capital, lease and VAT as applicable to the NHS
- Well organised, able to work under pressure and excellent team worker

### Main duties of the job

In this important role, you’ll:

- To support the capital accountant ensuring the capital asset register is appropriately maintained
- To ensure the lease database is maintained for supporting monthly and annual reporting
- To ensure timely and accurate completion of control and suspense account reconciliations.
- To support and report on the Trusts Charitable Funds
- Prepare information for supporting the subsidiary accounts for NEASUS Ltd
- To review and prepare information that feeds into the VAT return for NEAS and NEASUS Ltd
- To provide information for Internal and External Audit as required
- To support the payroll closedown in relation to expenses processing

## Person Specification

### KNOWLEDGE

**Essential**

- Financial Services systems and procedures, including debtors and creditor processes. Knowledge of capital and lease accounting, VAT regulations etc.

**Desirable**

- Trust specific coding structures. Knowledge of NHS VAT regime.

### Experience

**Essential**

- 2 years experience of working in an accountancy/Financial Services environment and capital account

**Desirable**

- Hands-on experience of reconciling control accounts

### Key Skills

**Essential**

- Use of computerised financial information systems. Excellent analytical skills

**Desirable**

- use of computerised financial information systems.

### PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

**Essential**
