### Main duties of the job

To provide an efficient reception support service to the Family Health Outpatient Departments, undertaking associate clerical duties and maintaining a caring and compassionate environment.

### Detailed job description and main responsibilities

- To be able to work on your own under pressure and take   responsibility regarding patient care across the Family Health departments.
- To book patients into the Department.
- To make clinic appointments.
- To ensure paperwork for clinics is collated.
- To work with Department computer system, Lorenzo and Clinical Portal in accordance with Data Protection Act.
- To deal with aggressive and abusive patients as necessary.
- Deal with enquiries, both by telephone and in person.
- Be available to assist with patients in the waiting area.
- Flexibility to cover annual leave and sickness.
- To participate in appropriate meetings.
- Ensure that confidentiality of personal health data is maintained
