We are delighted to offer an exciting development opportunity for a Family & Systemic Psychotherapist to join our dynamic and compassionate multi-disciplinary team within BCUHB’s Tier 4 Highly Specialist CAMHS Service. You will work across both the Kestrel Inpatient Ward and Kite – Intensive Community Support Team. This post is offered as a Band 7–8a progression role, providing the opportunity for an appropriately qualified and experienced practitioner to develop into a highly Specialist (Band 8a) Family & Systemic Psychotherapist role, supported by structured supervision, competency development, and service leadership opportunities. Support is available from experienced professionals including the Consultant Nurse/Family & Systemic Psychotherapist and Consultant Family & Systemic Psychotherapist, alongside a thriving North Wales Family & Systemic Community of Practice. Please note there is no requirement for registration under the Mental Health Measure (Wales) for this post. ### Main duties of the job About the Development Pathway At Band 7, you will: - Deliver systemic interventions under supervision - Build experience within inpatient and intensive community settings - Work towards defined competencies required for progression Progression to Band 8a will be supported through: - Demonstration of advanced clinical skills and autonomy - Leadership and supervisory capability - Contribution to service development and systemic practice across CAMHS Who We’re Looking For We welcome applications from individuals at different stages of their development: For Band 7 entry: - Qualified (or nearing qualification) in Family & Systemic Psychotherapy - Experience working with children, young people, or families - Commitment to developing specialist skills within a Tier 4 setting For Band 8a entry (or progression): - Qualified Family & Systemic Psychotherapist with relevant registration - Experience working with complex presentations in intensive settings - Ability to provide supervision, consultation, and leadership We are looking for someone who is: - Flexible, resilient, and reflective - Comfortable working in emotionally demanding environments - Passionate about multi-agency and systemic working ### Detailed job description and main responsibilities You will be able to find a full Job description and Person Specification attached within the supporting documents or please click “Apply now” to view in Trac. ### Applicant requirements You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
