NHS Highland is seeking an organised, proactive and people-focused Facilities Team Leader to support the delivery of high-quality Facilities services.

This Band 4 post attracts a salary of £31,537 to £34,303 per annum (£16.80 to £18.27 per hour) depending on experience and progression. The post is based at Belford Hospital, although the successful candidate may also be required to support services at Fort William Health Centre.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced supervisor or team leader to play a key role in ensuring safe, effective and responsive support services across a busy operational environment. The post holder will provide day-to-day leadership across Facilities functions, support service improvement, and help maintain high standards of staff management, compliance and customer service.

### Main duties of the post

- Lead and support Facilities Supervisors and Facilities Assistants to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of services.
- Coordinate rotas, annual leave, sickness cover and staffing arrangements to maintain service continuity across Belford Hospital and, where required, Fort William Health Centre.
- Monitor standards, workloads and performance across Facilities areas, supporting continuous improvement.
- Support staff through induction, training, appraisal and development processes including TURAS and iMatter.
- Act as a first point of contact for operational staff matters, including attendance, conduct and capability concerns, in line with NHS Highland policies.
- Support procurement, ordering, stock control, reporting and the use of relevant systems such as PECOS, SSTS, TURAS and other service databases.
- Provide practical support to the catering team during periods of service pressure, including undertaking some food preparation duties when required.
- Contribute to the safe and effective operation of services, ensuring compliance with food hygiene, infection control, waste and health and safety requirements.

### About you

You will be educated to HNC level, hold a Business and Administration SVQ Level 4 or be able to demonstrate an equivalent level of knowledge and experience. You should have experience of staff supervision or management, strong organisational and communication skills, and the ability to prioritise a varied workload in a fast-paced environment. Catering knowledge and experience are essential, as the post holder will be expected to support the team operationally and undertake some food preparation duties when services are under pressure. Confidence in using a range of digital systems and producing accurate reports and records will also be important, together with a sound understanding of training, compliance and service standards.

This is a permanent, full-time post of 36 hours per week, worked over 5 days between Monday and Sunday, including weekends when required. A full induction and training programme will be provided.
