Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Facilities Supervisor to join the South Facilities Team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about delivering high-quality soft FM services and leading dedicated in-house domestic teams across the Stockport locality. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring services consistently meet the requirements of the National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness 2021, maintaining safe, clean environments for service users, patients, visitors, and staff while supporting Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) standards.

The postholder will be primarily based at Stepping Hill Hospital but will be required to travel to other sites across the South locality as needed.

### Working Hours

- Monday to Friday: 06:00 to 14:00
- Participation in the South locality weekend supervisor rota, working 1 in every 5 weekends covering Stockport and Tameside sites.
- When working a weekend, Thursday and Friday of that week will be designated rest days.

This role would suit an individual with strong supervisory skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and service quality within a healthcare environment.

### Main duties of the job

The main duties of the postholder include the supervision of the in-house Facilities Assistants (Domestic) and cleaning services across Stepping Hill Hospital. The postholder will be responsible for the completion of staff rotas to ensure there is always sufficient cover to deliver the standards set in the NHS National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness 2021 and other standard operating procedures.

The postholder will be expected to carry out regular spot checks of the environment, including estates jobs as required, supervisor audits and overall supervision of the sites to ensure that the soft facilities management (FM) services meet the requirements of our staff and service users.

### Applicant requirements

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.

### Knowledge

**Essential**

- NPSA colour coding system
- National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness 2021
- Understanding and developing COSHH and risk assessments
- Auditing and checking cleaning standards
- Knowledge of different soft FM services

### Experience

**Essential**

- Working in soft FM services in a healthcare setting
- Supervising a cleaning team
- Rota management
- Dealing with HR issues such as sickness.
- Working with payroll and timesheets

**Desirable**

- Working in the NHS
- Working in a mental health NHS Trust
- Carrying out cleanliness audits

### Education/Qualifications

**Essential**

- Qualifications or training to Level 3 plus further experience to Level 4
- GCSE level A-C or equivalent

**Desirable**

- City and Guilds in cleaning principles
- BICS trained
- IOSH Managing Safely
