### Job overview

We are seeking to recruit a full-time Facilities Assistant (Cleaner) to join our team at Swandean Campus, Arundel Road, Worthing, BN13 3EP.

This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week), working Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend working to meet the needs of the service. Shifts are worked on a rota basis and vary between 7:00 am and 3:00 pm and 10:30 am and 6:30 pm.

As a Facilities Assistant (Cleaner), you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and infection prevention are maintained across the site.

### Main duties of the job

We are looking for self-motivated individuals who can work equally well on their own or as part of a team, to deliver and achieve high standards of environmental cleaning and prepare meals for service.

We are looking for people who recognise the importance of a clean environment and food safety, as well as the importance of adherence to infection prevention and control standards at all times.

To protect the health and safety of our staff/workers, patients, and those attending our sites, we encourage our workforce to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

### Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Duties include but are not limited to: - vacuum cleaning, damp mopping of floors, damp dusting of furniture/fittings, cleaning of mirrors and internal glass, sanitary ware, e.g. baths, showers, sinks, toilets, washing of tiled surfaces and paintwork, high dusting of walls and ceilings, floor cleaning etc.. In addition the role will require some food handling to support the provision of a meal service for patients in our care.  Full training will be provided for the successful candidate.
