### This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for a Skilled Worker visa or a Heath and Care Worker visa. NHS Highland is unable to provide candidates with a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS).

We are seeking to recruit a motivated and reliable Facilities Assistant (Domestic) to support the delivery of high-quality cleaning and facilities services across Islay Hospital and associated sites.

The postholder will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic environment in line with the National Cleaning Services Specification and local infection prevention and control (IPC) standards.

Duties will include routine and enhanced cleaning of clinical and non-clinical areas, waste management, and supporting the wider facilities team to ensure service delivery standards are consistently achieved.

You will be required to work flexibly as part of a team to provide cover for periods of annual leave, sickness absence and fluctuating service demands.

A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential.

Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and patient safety within a healthcare setting. Good communication skills and an understanding of health and safety requirements are essential.

Previous experience in a domestic or cleaning role is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.

You will be expected to adhere to all organisational policies and procedures, including those relating to infection prevention and control, health and safety, and confidentiality.

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the delivery of essential services that directly support patient care and staff wellbeing.
