### Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Estates Officers (Systems CAFM) to join the existing Estates Team.

The post holder will lead the implementation, delivery and ongoing maintenance of the Trusts main Systems and Technology packages which includes BMS, CAD, Security Systems, CAFM systems into a business-as-usual process. This will involve supporting the dashboard reporting for compliance and performance, scheduling, monitoring, reviewing, training and delivery of effective asset management, along with planned and reactive maintenance that meets Trusts statutory and mandatory requirements.

This post is offered at band 6 subject to a Job Evaluation process.

### Main duties of the job

The Estates Officer (Specialist CAFM) will lead and manage the Trusts CAFM and related estates systems, including BMS, CAD, security, Helpdesk, IPR and asset management tools. The role supports compliance, performance reporting, planned and reactive maintenance, asset records, space planning, project documentation and system improvements.

The post holder will act as the technical lead, liaising with suppliers, colleagues, contractors and stakeholders to resolve issues, support upgrades, deliver training and ensure accurate system use. They will analyse data, produce reports and dashboards, maintain property and compliance records, support finance and valuation processes, and contribute to backlog planning and capital project handovers.

They will develop and improve CAFM processes, SOPs, BIM/CAD standards, training materials and interface protocols, while identifying efficiencies and supporting innovation across estates systems. The role also includes procurement, budget management, risk mitigation, project coordination and maintaining up-to-date records.

The post holder will work independently as a specialist, mentor staff, research best practice and may act as Authorised Person/Responsible Officer for relevant estates disciplines. Participation in the on-call rota is required, as well as responding to complex estates issues and supporting business continuity.

### Experience

**Essential**

- Autonomous, self-starter.

- Proven ability to interact and work cohesively with colleagues.
- Multi-tasker, able to prioritise, organise workload and manage outcomes to meet planned objectives.
- Flexible and agile, able to undertake tasks at short notice in an ever-changing environment.
- Able to demonstrate positive and constructive attitude whilst being under pressure.
- Experience of process improvement in CAFM.
- Relevant post qualification experience in estates management.
- Project management experience including experience of delivering projects through multi-disciplinary teams.
- Experience of the procurement of works and services.

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- Specialist knowledge across range of procedures underpinned by theory.
- Specialist works and building knowledge including legislation to degree level or equivalent, post graduate knowledge through training, experience in systems including BMS, CAFM, CAD.
- Experience of a CAFM system as an Administrator or Facilities Management role.
- Project management qualification, level three, or relevant experience in a systems environment with evidence of managing projects.

**Desirable**

- IWFM qualifications level 4 in Facilities Management.
- Building information modelling qualification.
