### Job summary

Taking responsibility for the day-to-day operational servicing and repairs to meet Trust targets for PPM and reactive work and first-time fixes. Working to ensure breakdowns & planned preventative maintenance work undertaken is compliant with relevant legislation and guidance including NHS Health Technical memorandum’s (HTM’s), Health Building Notes (HBN’s), British Standards, European Standards, whilst developing and managing the departmental risk register.

The post holder will provide an effective and efficient maintenance repair service, to a high quality on the full range of building fabric, electrical and mechanical engineering plant and equipment to the Atlas portfolio.

The post holder could be expected to participate in the Atlas's on call rota for out of hours electricians. Providing cover for the 1 in 6 (or as otherwise notified) 24 hour on call system that provide service continuity in the event of breakdowns, essential service failures at Blackpool Victoria Hospital, Clifton Hospital, Fleetwood Hospital and National Artificial Eye Service.

- The post holder will undertake fault finding and testing of complex LV networks, critical systems and equipment, such as nurse call equipment and fire alarms. You will be responsible for undertaking fixed electrical installations testing and general inspections.
- The post holder to carry out periodic testing for the emergency light testing at Blackpool Teaching Hospital, Clifton Hospital, Fleetwood Hospital and National Artificial Eyes Service.
- The post holder to record test procedure and liase with wards to arrange access.
- The post holder to be fluent with Microsoft Excel and able to use required emergency light record software.
- The post holder to carry out lighting repairs identified following PPM test.
- This will require liaison with Estates Helpdesk on a regular basis to report lighting faults following PPM.

## Person Specification

### Training

**Essential**

- Completed a Structured (i.e city & guilds) training programme in Electrical Engineering discipline with a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience. (preferably in an NHS / maintenance setting)
- Completed a recognised Apprenticeship in Electrical engineering
