The EPR Training Lead plays a pivotal role in the successful implementation of the Trust’s Electronic Patient Record, leading the day to day delivery of high quality face to face training as a core part of the Trust’s blended learning approach. Working at the heart of the programme, the role ensures staff are well prepared to use the system safely, effectively and confidently in clinical practice, with clear oversight of training uptake and completion.

The post holder coordinates and oversees consistent training delivery across services, working closely with trainers, clinical and corporate teams, and programme colleagues. Through hands on facilitation and practical, role based scenarios, the Training Lead supports staff to translate digital functionality into real world clinical workflows, while ensuring training activity is accurately recorded and reported.

You must have the Right to Work in the UK in order to be successfully appointed to this role. Please note, this role does not meet the required eligibility criteria for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa and therefore the Trust is unable to offer sponsorship for this particular role.

### Main duties of the job

Providing visible leadership during training and go live periods, the EPR Training Lead ensures learning environments are well resourced, responsive and well organised, supports trainers in real time, and identifies and escalates risks that could impact staff readiness, patient safety or programme delivery. By maintaining high standards and delivering timely, accurate reporting, the role makes a direct contribution to system adoption, staff confidence and the successful realisation of EPR benefits.

- Support the delivery of face to face EPR and digital skills training sessions in line with agreed training plans and the EPR training strategy
- Supervise day to day training activity, ensuring sessions start on time, are appropriately staffed, and follow approved training materials.
- Act as a key point of contact for trainers and learners, maintaining effective communication and strong working relationships across clinical, operational, and digital teams.
- Coordinate training activity, including schedules, rooms, equipment, and resources, to ensure efficient and timely delivery.
- Monitor training delivery, identify issues or risks, and take prompt action to resolve problems or escalate as required.
- Ensure accurate management of training information, attendance records, and reporting to support compliance, governance, and assurance.
- Manage physical resources and equipment effectively, ensuring training environments are fit for purpose.

### Skills

**Essential**

- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and confidently.
- Ability to support consistent training delivery using agreed materials and standards.
- Good organisational skills, with the ability to coordinate sessions, people, and resources.
- Ability to identify issues during training delivery and escalate appropriately.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Advanced computer literacy and keyboard skills, including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Microsoft Teams.

**Desirable**

- Knowledge of Electronic Patient Record systems or clinical workflows.

### Knowledge

**Essential**

- Knowledge of blended learning approaches, including how face‑to‑face training integrates with eLearning and other digital resources within agreed training strategies and timelines
- Understanding of the purpose and objectives of Trust‑wide training programmes, including EPR and digital skills training, and how face‑to‑face delivery supports safe clinical practice and continuity of care.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and effective face to face facilitation techniques, including creating a positive learning environment and supporting learners with varying confidence and skill levels.
- Knowledge of the practical requirements for face to face training delivery, including room set up, class sizes, equipment, IT access and use of training environments that replicate live systems.
- Understanding of training logistics and coordination across sites, including scheduling, resource management and ensuring sessions run on time and are appropriately staffed.

### Experience

**Essential**

- Proven experience of delivering face to face training to adult learners.
- Experience supporting or coordinating training activity in a busy or change‑led environment.
- Experience working with clinical and/or operational staff in a healthcare or large organisation setting.
- Experience of supervising, mentoring, or supporting colleagues in a day‑to‑day capacity.

**Desirable**

- Experience supporting the implementation of a large‑scale digital system, such as an EPR.
- Experience delivering systems or IT‑based training.
- Experience working in the NHS or similar public sector organisation.

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- Educated to degree level in a relevant subject such as Education, Learning & Development, Health Informatics, Digital Health, Information Systems, or a healthcare‑related discipline
- OR Significant equivalent experience in a training, education, healthcare, or digital/IT‑related role, supported by a teaching, training, or facilitation qualification (e.g. PTLLS, AET, or equivalent).
