Support a Safe Environment - Monitor theatre areas for environmental or safety issues and ensure faults are recorded and escalated. - Complete Datix reports where required. - Adhere to Health & Safety and infection control guidelines at all times. Equipment & Ancillary Area Cleaning - Clean medical equipment according to manufacturers’ instructions and Trust procedures. - Maintain cleanliness of storerooms, kitchens, and non‑clinical fridges. - Ensure all documentation and checklists are completed. Suction & Gas Cylinder Checks - Replace and dispose of suction canisters safely. - Check, store and replenish gas cylinders, ensuring adequate supply for daily theatre use. - Report any irregularities or safety concerns promptly. Waste Management - Work with portering and ancillary teams to ensure correct waste segregation and disposal. - Support inspections of dirty returns areas and escalate concerns. - Follow Trust protocols for sharps, needlestick incidents and body fluid contamination.
