Aintree University Hospital is the main tertiary referral Hospital for Liverpool, Merseyside, Cheshire and North Wales. On call commitments are currently 1:9 prospective night and day time cover. Applicants are required to be fully registered with the General Medical Council. ### Main duties of the job This is a busy clinical fellowship aimed at senior trainees who have at least six years’ experience as a Specialist Registrar (SpR)/ Speciality Trainee (StR) or equivalent and hold both the MRCS (or equivalent) and an ENT exit examination (FRCS or national equivalent). This post is also available to candidates who hold a U.K. Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or national equivalent. It is intended that the successful candidate will become trained in all aspects of rhinology, advanced endoscopic sinus surgery and rhinoplasty. The candidate will gain exposure to anterior skull base, sinonasal malignancyand extended endoscopic anterior skull base surgery. Significant exposure to external septorhinoplasty is also expected. The successful candidate will have a central role in the preparation and presentation of patients in the Head and Neck Oncology and Skull Base MDT meetings. It is expected of the fellow to become involved with data collection, updating existing database and publish on clinical outcomes of the rhinology unit.
