### Job overview

We are looking for a well-motivated, flexible and adaptable person who enjoys a challenge to join the busy ENT Admin Team. This role will include admin duties, preparing clinics, sitting clinic reception, and liaising with patients, clinicians and the rest of the ENT team.

The right applicant will ideally have previous clerical and customer service experience. You should be enthusiastic, motivated and have excellent communication and organisational skills. You should be able to work well under pressure and have the ability to prioritise your own workload. You will be expected to use your initiative and discretion, have an enthusiasm for your work and an excellent ‘team’ working ethos which is essential for our service to succeed.

### Main duties of the job

To prep allocated consultant clinic notes.

Sit on the main clinic reception and report patient attendance.

Ensure all relevant information required for outpatient appointments is recorded and in the case notes.

To update any missing outcomes from clinic and chase to complete clinic outcome.

To attend in-service training meetings to ensure skills and knowledge are kept up-to-date and appropriate to post.

Any other administration duties commensurate with the role and service needs.

### Detailed job description and main responsibilities

- Ensure accurate and timely processing of clinical and administrative correspondence.
- Prioritise work in appropriate order to ensure work is completed within agreed targets times.
- Clinic preparation specifically retrieval of notes, filing, tracking in and out.
- Photocopying, filing, or any administrative duties as deemed necessary to support the patient journey.
- To utilise the NerveCentre system to update case note tracking..
- To ensure all outcomes are recorded accurately electronically.
- To attend all mandatory training as required by the CMG/Trust.

### Applicant requirements

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
