This is an exciting opportunity to work for Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board as an Office Clerk on a permanent basis within the Endoscopy Team. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, highly organised, flexible to service needs as we are running a 7 day service and will develop a wide range of skills in several areas of administration including customer service, time management and electronic record keeping.

Candidates must be able to maintain patient confidentiality and ensure a high standard of customer care at all times.

The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this post.

### Main duties of the job

The  Endoscopy Support Clerk will be responsible for providing an essential support service in the continuing care of patients, ensuring that the casenotes are at the right place at the right time.

The post holder will cross cover in all aspects of the role including, the pulling, filing, preparation, amalgamation and secure transportation/delivery of the casenotes for the purpose of preparing Endoscopy Lists. Providing a professional and efficient reception service within the Endoscopy Unit, ensuring that all patients and visitors are welcomed to the department in an appropriate manner. Ensuring that all service users are aware of the importance of tracking the patient record to its correct location.

**Essential**

- Remain calm under pressure with the established expectations of the role
- Flexibility to work the hours required by the post
- General fitness is required as it is necessary to lift, file and transfer case notes from one location to another, to sort and reorganise appropriately
- Ability to exert light/moderate physical effort when handling equipment i.e. trolleys and mobile racking

- Welsh Speaking

- NVQ or equivalent qualification experience
- Knowledge of NHS Records Management legislation
