Following overwhelming demand and success for employment support offered in Talking Therapies, and our successful expansion provision, we are currently looking to recruit an Employment Advisor to join us for a fixed term maternity cover position

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team and contribute to the innovative work taking place in Talking Therapies.

You will be working in a motivated, supportive environment, helping people experiencing low mood and/or anxiety with practical employment related matters.

If you have the skills and experience in supporting and empowering clients to achieve their goals and aspirations, focusing on their employment journey, come along and join us in Talking Therapies where you will make a difference!  Client feedback has been truly amazing and the difference we have made to their lives when it comes to employment is evident with excellent client feedback.

Flexibility is essential for this role, with a combination of working remotely, from a base and travelling across our service as and when required.

We welcome applicants who speak additional languages fluently.

### Main duties of the job

- Hold a caseload of clients

- Support clients to find work, stay in work, or return to work after sick leave

- Offer support via telephone, video calls (Teams), emails, and face-to-face as needed

- Offer varied and tailored support to individuals, using tools and resources to empower clients to resolve practical employment issues

- Be involved in service delivery improvements to support clients’ aspirations and employment goals

There will be a requirement to undertake a short formal study programme.

## Person Specification

### Previous Experience

**Essential**

- Experience of providing vocational/employment support
- Experience of supporting people with MH conditions into vocational/employment activities.

**Desirable**

- Understanding of the employment needs/  barriers and difficulties faced by people with MH conditions.
- Experience of working in a service where agreed targets are in place, demonstrating specific outcomes
- Experience of assessing, planning and facilitating activities that focus on recovery and vocational skills.
- Experience of working within a multi – disciplinary team

- Vocational assessment and profiling
- Ability to negotiate with employers on behalf of service users.
- Working knowledge of community resources.
- Knowledge of employment law and the Equality Act 2010.
- Knowledge of evidence based interventions to support people with common MH problems remain in, return to & gain work

### Education/Qualifications/Training

**Essential**

- Evidence of further study in vocational training, careers advice, job retention and presenteeism
- Equivalent experience gained through work in the field.

**Desirable**

- Customer service NVQ level 2 minimum or equivalent
- Evidence of a good customer service background.

### Continuous Professional Development

**Essential**

- Willing and able to undertake the relevant training associated with the role which  Includes some formal study
