### Job summary

We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated, full time Employee Relations Administrator within the Workforce Employee Relations Team, who will be based at Royal Papworth Hospital in Cambridge on the Biomedical campus.

This is a great opportunity to gain experience in a busy Employee Relations Team.

You will have responsibility for talking to colleagues on the phone and in person and communicating via email providing the full range of administrative support. You will also need experience of working with MS Office.

The skills we are looking for are attention to detail, tact, patience, and accurate data entry, the ability to liaise with colleagues throughout the Hospital and beyond, excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional and respectful manner.

The ideal candidate will have a strong teamwork ethic, sense of accountability, and accompanied by an ability to work under time restraints and pressure at times. We will provide the necessary support to ensure your development within your role.

### Main duties of the job

To work flexibly to provide comprehensive, high quality administrative support including for example; answering general queries, arranging meetings, taking and transcribing notes from employee relations investigations and hearings, and booking venues.

Assist colleagues with workforce general process advice on; recruitment, pay, policies and procedures, annual leave and sickness with tact and sensitivity using your own judgement in how to proceed, seeking guidance where necessary.

Use Workforce systems to check and where appropriate disseminate information.

Deal with both internal and external correspondence to ensure that this is dealt with in a timely fashion in line with Department and Trust guidelines.

Process data and documents, notes of meetings and transcribe minutes to high standard.

### Experience

**Essential**

- Previous experience of working in a customer facing role
- Experience of inputting accurate and timely data onto electronic systems
- Experience of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- The ability to communicate basic or sensitive information to colleagues
- The ability to pay close attention to detail in written and electronic communication and information storage
- The ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure high-quality administrative support
- Able to organise, prioritise and adjust own workload in relation to the priorities of a busy department on a daily basis
- The ability to suggest & demonstrate changes to own practice
- Demonstrates personal duty of care in relation to the safe use of equipment and other resources

- Previous experience of working in the NHS
