### Job overview

We are recruiting for a Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response (EPRR) Officer who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

Working closely with the Head of EPRR, you will help strengthen the Trust’s ability to prepare for, respond to and recover from emergencies, major incidents, critical incidents, and business continuity disruptions. You will support the protection of patients, staff, services, systems and facilities, helping the Trust maintain safe and effective operations during challenging situations.

The role will also support the Trust in meeting its statutory responsibilities as a Category 1 Responder under the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 and maintaining compliance with NHS England’s EPRR Framework and Core Standards.

### Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will provide operational support during incidents and contribute to maintaining organisational resilience across the Trust. Alongside incident response responsibilities, the post holder will undertake a range of business as usual EPRR activities, including supporting emergency and business continuity planning, delivering training, facilitating exercises and maintaining relevant plans, procedures and records.

The role provides an excellent opportunity to broaden knowledge and gain further practical experience across emergency preparedness, resilience, incident response and business continuity.

The post holder will support the delivery and ongoing improvement of the Trust’s Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response arrangements, helping to ensure compliance with national standards and statutory requirements.

They will play an important role in ensuring the Trust is prepared to respond effectively to emergencies, incidents and business disruption, while supporting the continuity of safe and essential services.

### Applicant requirements

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
