Primary role is to support the detailed day to day operational aspects of the trusts emergency response to all incidents either external or internal. The EP Manager will provide expert advice, guidance, information, training and support to the Trust at all levels, in relation to all Emergency Planning/Resilience/Business Continuity matters, covering all the requirements of the Civil Contingencies Act (2004). ### Main duties of the job The EP Manager is accountable for supporting the operational co-ordination of the immediate response in the event of an incident. Also provides professional support to the trust front line staff by providing detailed specialist advice in respect of emergency planning and resilience matters. Provides the essential professional link with other NHS organizations in the Central London Sector and other relevant external partners (including NHS London, Public health England, Major Trauma Network, South East Cluster, Mental Health Trusts, other specialist Trusts, the LAS, SECAMB and the relevant Local Authorities) and co-ordinates all aspects of major incident planning that are incumbent upon the Trust. The EP Manager is responsible for the planning and delivery of specialist emergency response training (30% of available time) and exercising; including Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) contamination training.
