We are looking for an enthusiastic, well-motivated person to provide administration and secretarial support within  the Emergency Department.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work within a team and use your own initiative.  The successful applicant should be computer literate with an understanding of Word, Excel, Outlook, HISS and Nexus as well as have the ability to undertake clinical transcription from digital dictation.  The successful applicant would be expected to provide cover for other support staff, this will include answering telephone calls, consultant/doctors admin, emails, post, retrieval of case notes, and filing of clinical correspondence. ### Experience and Knowledge

- Computer literate with experience of MS Office software

- Advanced IT skills with working knowledge of the Trust’s PAS and Maxims
- Medical terminology Effective communication skills, both verbal and written at all levels within the organisation
- Previous experience working in the NHS
- Knowledge of the Blackpool Way & Foundation Trust

### Education and Qualifications

**Essential**

- Education of 5 GCSE’s grades A-C or equivalent
- A good command of the English Language
- ECDL or IT qualification

**Desirable**

- NVQ Level 3 Business
