The current vacancy is a post at the Kidderminster Hospital and the successful applicant will be expected to travel between other sites including the Alexandra Hospital on a regular basis as part of this post. You will have at least 2 years hands on practical experience with electronic and or electro mechanical medical equipment maintenance and hold a minimum BTEC qualification or equivalent qualification / Electro Mechanical engineering qualification. The successful applicant will also possess good general practical skills and have a sound knowledge of a broad range of medical equipment. Good communication and interpersonal skills are a prerequisite. To perform all duties required to provide safe operation of medical devices and decontamination equipment throughout their life cycle, this will include; pre-purchase assessment/evaluation, commissioning, planned preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs, calibration checks, regulatory testing and decommissioning as required. There is a shared responsibility to maintain all items of medical equipment varying in complexity from simple battery operated equipment to advanced life support systems.
