Due to a recent promotion within the Wellbeing & Emotional Support Teams (WEST), Bromsgrove’s team are now seeking a qualified EMHP/CWP to join our fantastic growing team.

### Main duties of the job

We are an enthusiastic and growing team at an exciting stage of development. As part of a newly established team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the growth and shaping of the team, support the introduction of the service within schools, and help embed our work across a new wave of educational settings.

In this role, you will deliver evidence-based, low-intensity CBT interventions to children and young people, both individually and in groups, within your allocated schools. You will also play an active role in delivering Whole School Approach initiatives, supporting community engagement events, and ensuring that children and young people remain at the heart of everything you do.

Supported by an Operational Lead, Clinical Lead, and Senior Practitioners, you will manage a caseload, undertake assessments, develop care plans, and complete associated clinical documentation while maintaining fidelity to the low-intensity CBT model.

A sound understanding of safeguarding and risk management is essential. You will be supported through regular safeguarding supervision, alongside clinical skills supervisions and case management supervisions, to develop your confidence, knowledge, and practice.

### Detailed job description and main responsibilities

You will work collaboratively with children, young people, families, school staff, and partner agencies, providing consultation, advice, and signposting where appropriate. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are therefore key to success in this role.

You will work in partnership with Educational Settings & Partners to improve the outcomes for CYP 5-18 years of age.

You will provide a high- quality service to CYP, families and school staff and will have regular communication with all.

You will promote knowledge of mental health & the prevention of mental health with children and members of the public.

You will be an active member of the team and support with service development as well as engage in service meetings.

You will act as a role model to colleagues and always seek to maintain the highest standards.

You will use your initiative and take responsibility for the quality of your work and the service you provide to patients.

## Person Specification

### Knowledge

**Essential**

- A good knowledge of relevant professional guidelines (BPS/ BABCP)
- Knowledge of educational environments
- Knowledge of safeguarding issues
- Working knowledge of emotional health issues and developments in CAMH Services
- Knowledge of capacity and consent issues including Gillick competence

**Desirable**

- Knowledge of the Mental Health Act

### Experience

**Essential**

- Experience of working with children and young people, their families and others.
- Experience of working and liaising with a wide variety of agencies and stakeholders
- Use of therapeutic interventions within emotional health and wellbeing settings i.e. 1:1, and group work
- Post registration experience in emotional health and wellbeing assessment and care

**Desirable**

- Experience of working with children and families is an educational setting.
- Working in a Multi-disciplinary team
- Working within a community/public health team

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- Successful completion of the HEE commissioned 1 year “Education Mental Health Practitioner’ Course” or Children Wellbeing Practitioner qualification
- Current registration with relevant professional body (BPS/BABCP)

**Desirable**

- A further relevant degree qualification

- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English in both verbal and written formats
