There are currently five CAS Teams across Luton. The successful candidate will be employed by East London Foundation Trust (EFLT) Bedfordshire & Luton CAMHS, where the CAS Teams deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Low Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (LI-CBT) and emotional wellbeing interventions, using Guided Self-Help strategies. You will have successfully completed training as an EMHP or CWP - There are currently five CAS Teams across Luton. Subject to satisfactory performance, successful completion of and graduation from the relevant training programme and progression towards the required professional accreditation, the post will be re-banded to a Band 5 position. ### Main duties of the job The post holder will play a key role as a member of the MHSTs , who will have the responsibility for delivering the school’s overarching approach to providing mental health and wellbeing support for children and young people. The role will help develop and deliver a wide range of interventions, projects, and system changes to adopt whole-school and whole-community approaches to supporting young people’s mental health. You will be confident in providing Guided Self Help to young people and families with anxiety, low mood and challenging behaviours. You will be flexible and creative in responding to the needs of the school populations, with excellent support from your team and supervision. You will also be able to adapt to working remotely and prioritising access to services and resources. ### Detailed job description and main responsibilities Please find attached the job description and person/role specification. This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service. ## Person Specification ### Knowledge **Essential** - Ability to carry out 1:1 therapeutic mental health interventions with children and families.
