### Job summary

Join our friendly and supportive Medical Education team as an Education Centre Administrator, playing a key role in the day-to-day running of a busy Education Centre within The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust.You will provide a wide range of administrative tasks, supporting education and training activity for medical students, resident doctors and the wider multidisciplinary workforce, helping to create a professional, welcoming and well-organised learning environment.This is a varied and hands-on role where no two days are the same. You will work in the Education Centre providing administrative support to the Medical Education Team, coordinate room bookings, prepare teaching spaces, manage resources and providing a responsive front-of-house service to all users of the department.Working hours are 8am 4pm on Thursday and Friday.We are looking for a flexible, enthusiastic and proactive individual who enjoys working in a busy environment and contributing to a positive team culture. ### Main duties of the job

Ensure the effective daily operation of the Education Centre by delivering a high-quality administrative and front-of-house service to staff, students and visitors. You will coordinate room bookings, prepare teaching environments, and support a wide range of education and training activities across the Trust. Working closely with the Medical Education team, you will manage enquiries, maintain accurate records and databases, and ensure equipment, resources and facilities are ready for use.This role requires a flexible and enthusiastic individual who enjoys working in a busy environment and is committed to delivering a professional, welcoming and engaging service. You will build strong relationships with colleagues, internal departments and external partners to support the smooth delivery of education programmes.Working in medical education offers a unique opportunity to directly shape the future of healthcare. ## Person Specification

### Knowledge

**Essential**

- Knowledge of postgraduate training requirements
- In depth knowledge and application of the full suite of Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of a range of non-routine work procedures

**Desirable**

- Detailed knowledge of medical terminology and procedures

### Experience

**Essential**

- Significant demonstrable experience of working in an administrative/support role

**Desirable**

- Experience of working in a Medical Education or Student environment
- Experience of making presentations, negotiation and influencing skills

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- Nationally recognised qualification (eg NVQ or BTEC) in business/office administration at level 2 or above or equivalent experience
- GCSE Grade C/4 or above in Maths and English
