At present, University Hospitals of North Midlands (UHNM) is unable to offer visa sponsorship for Band 2 to Band 4 roles, as these positions do not meet the minimum salary and skill thresholds required under UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations.

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our Domestic Services Team at County Hospital, Stafford. The successful candidates will help provide and maintain a clean, safe and hygienic environment for patients, visitors and staff, in line with the National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness 2025 and UHNM policies and procedures.

Working as part of a dedicated team, you will play a vital role in supporting high standards of cleanliness across the hospital to ensure a positive experience for patients and visitors.

- These vacancies are for Night Shift based at County Hospital, Stafford only. Please do not apply if you are seeking employment at Royal Stoke University Hospital or if you are seeking day shifts at County
- Interviews will take place at County Hospital on Friday 21st August, there will be no alternative arrangements.
- We encourage applicants to submit their application as soon as possible. The advert may close early if a sufficient number of applications are received
- At the event, prior to your one to one interview, you will be asked to complete a short English and maths test. If you are unsuccessful in the test, you will not proceed to the one to one interview. Test results are final and will not be discussed.

### Main duties of the job

We are recruiting to a range of part-time night shift Domestic Assistant positions, with a variety of working patterns available.

Shifts patterns range from Monday - Friday OR 3 on 3 off between the hours of 6:00pm - 2:00am. Further details of shift patterns and hours will be discussed at interview.

### Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Interviews will take place at County Hospital on Friday 21st August. You will be asked to provide ID in order to be interviewed as full ID checks and forms will be completed. For evidence of your ID you will need to provide both Right to Work and ID documentation.

Examples of ID documentation to bring are as follows:

Two proofs of address such as:

- Bank statement / Utility bill (Dated within the last 3 months)
- Tenancy agreement / Mortgage Statement/ Council Tax statement (Dated within the last 12 months)
- Driving Licence (In current address and valid)

ID documentation:

- Valid Passport
- Driving Licence (In current address and valid)

Please ensure if any of your ID is in a different name you are able to provide the proof of name change on the day of your ID check appointment. (i.e Marriage Certificate/Deed Poll/Decree Nisi).

### Applicant requirements

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.

- Ability to communicate with other staff, Trust employees and service users

- Previous working experience within an NHS environment

### Education and qualifications

- Basic understanding of spoken and written English
- Ability to complete basic paperwork relevant to duties.
