Providing an advocacy and support service throughout their stay. The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of a high-quality Domestic Abuse service as part of the safeguarding team providing professional advice, support and education to the multi-professional team, patient and carers by recognising, prioritising and responding appropriately to Domestic Abuse concerns. ### Main duties of the job As an experienced post holder you will provide effective Domestic abuse activity by working with current legislation to ensure compliance with the Domestic abuse Act 2021, Care Act 2014, Children's Act 2004 ,MCA 2005 and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards 2009, and local Safeguarding Board procedures and safeguarding partnership procedures. The post holder will need to be able to support the development and implementation of Domestic abuse practice across the Trust, ensuring effective multi-agency liaison and education on Domestic Abuse. The post holder will Complete relevant risk assessments and develop plans of individualised care in relation to domestic abuse/safeguarding. To engage directly with victims of domestic abuse, many of whom are reluctant to engage with statutory services, to offer independent advocacy and safety planning.
