This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and diverse Division encompassing Women and Children's Services, Community Services, and Therapies. The postholder will primarily lead a portfolio spanning Community Services and Adult Therapies, working closely with the Divisional Director, Clinical Directors, and Divisional Nurse and Midwifery Directors to provide visible and effective leadership across quality and governance, workforce, patient safety, and service improvement.

The Divisional Nurse / AHP Director will provide professional leadership for nursing and allied health professional (AHP) staff across the Division, supporting Lead Nurses, Matrons, and senior clinical leaders to deliver outstanding patient care and achieve Trust priorities and objectives.

As a key member of the Divisional Senior Leadership Team, the postholder will act as an expert source of professional nursing and AHP advice, contributing to collective accountability for the safe, effective, and high-quality delivery of care across a broad range of services.

This influential role is central to aligning corporate, organisational, and divisional priorities with clinical practice, workforce development, and service transformation. Working collaboratively with senior leaders across the Trust and with multidisciplinary colleagues, the postholder will drive continuous improvement and help ensure the delivery of exceptional care and outcomes for patients, families, and communities.

### Main duties of the job

The post holder will work in partnership with the Divisional Senior Leadership team to ensure that nursing and therapy is integral to the Trust, ensuring the delivery of high quality nursing and therapy care.

Candidates must be a team player with significant experience of working in a range of NHS settings, proven management skills, and experience in leading complex services and teams. The post holder will be responsible for leading, challenging and driving forward continuous quality improvement.

The post holder will be responsible for line management of Lead Nurses and Matrons within the areas in their portfolio.

The post holder will be expected to work in line with Trust values and behave in a manner that facilitates the development of autonomous teams and individuals that are empowered, engaged and committed to continually delivering excellent care.

The post holder is expected to participate in the senior manager on call rota and to cross cover for colleagues during periods of annual leave

- Significant experience of working in a senior nursing or therapy role in an acute hospital or community setting

### Qualifications & Education

- Registered Nurse or Therapist
- Educated to degree level or evidence of sound intellectual ability and ongoing personal development at senior management level

- Evidence of management / leadership qualification or development or equivalent experience
- Evidence of continuing professional development showing a combination of short course or structured self-study
