The Countess of Chester NHS Foundation Trust is a high performing first wave Foundation Trust that provides a range of medical services to more than 400,000 patients per year. We are a 550 bed General Hospital located on the outskirts of the picturesque city of Chester. ### Main duties of the job

For the position of Directorate Accountant, we are seeking an experienced finance professional, CCAB qualified / finalist or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years working at a senior level, to support the Trust in delivering its challenging agenda.

Reporting to the Head of Financial Management, you will provide financial management knowledge and information to Divisions and to the Trust as a whole to assist in the production of timely, accurate and relevant information for the completion of the monthly reports.

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- CCAB qualified /finalist or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years working at a senior level.

**Desirable**

- Recognised management qualification, e.g. ILM.

### Knowledge and experience

**Essential**

- Proven commitment to continuing development.
- Previous experience of working within a financial environment.
- Previous experience within Financial Management.

**Desirable**

- NHS experience and knowledge of current issues.
