Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer, this is a new senior leadership role with Trust-wide influence. You will set the direction for technology infrastructure, cyber security, and digital platforms—ensuring our systems are robust, secure, and future-ready. There are many exciting programmes underway including potential expansion of our EPR across the Cambridge Biomedical Campus, procurement of an IT managed service provider as our contract expires in 2028, and two new hospitals under construction.

We are looking for an experienced technology leader who will bring:

- Senior leadership experience in large, complex organisations
- Deep expertise across infrastructure, cloud, cyber security, and enterprise architecture
- A strong track record of delivering large-scale transformation and managing major contracts
- The ability to translate strategy into delivery, influencing across organisational boundaries
- Excellent communication skills, able to engage both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong results in leading and managing highly performing teams

This role is critical to ensuring that our technology enables safe and effective patient care—every hour of every day.

### Main duties of the job

You will:

- lead the development of a modern, resilient technology estate, spanning cloud, infrastructure, and core clinical systems
- shape and deliver the Trust’s cyber security and system resilience strategy
- drive innovation across AI, automation, and emerging technologies
- oversee a complex, high-value outsourced IT managed service and supplier ecosystem
- champion interoperability and integration to enable seamless patient care
- establish strong governance, ensuring compliance with national standards and regulations

This role may attract Recruitment and Retention Premia depending on the experience and expertise of the candidate.
