### Main duties of the job

The Hepatology Team at UHS are recruiting a full time substantive Band 4 Digital Support Worker . The post involves working with the digital platform My Medical Record to monitor patients with liver disease and their surveillance so as to promote patient engagement and safe and timely care . You will work alongside another Digital Support Worker and be part of the Hepatology Multi Disciplinary team . Please read the JD and PS for the necessary skills required for this role

The successful candidate will have excellent organisational skills alongside a background of Administration skills and relevant IT experience .

### Qualifications, knowledge and experience

**Essential**

- NVQ or apprenticeship Level 3 in Health
- Numeracy skills and Literacy skills at level 2 (or equivalent)
- Proficient in use of Hospital systems
- Proven experience in a caring role
- Understanding of acute hospital environment and the role of SHCA
- Previous experience of working with the general public
- Ability to communicate with wide range of people
- Ability to work under own initiative and prioritise workload
- Ability to adjust to pressures of job
- Willingness to undertake further training
- Strong interest in digital/IT
- Experience of dealing with non-routine and complex problems, able to progress chase
- Interest in new ways of working and supporting clinical teams during periods of change
- Be able to take instruction / directions
- Aware of personal limitations
- Flexibility and adaptable to shift/work patterns

**Desirable**

- Experienced and competent in additional clinical skills, as per job description
- Previous HCA experience
- Experience working with diverse audiences (e.g. volunteers, patients and/or community groups)
