### Job summary

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting, maintaining and developing the Trust's endpoint infrastructure, ensuring the reliable delivery of desktop, laptop, tablet and peripheral services across both clinical and corporate environments. Working closely with the Senior Digital Support Manager and external partners, the post holder will be responsible for the deployment, configuration and lifecycle management of endpoint devices, operating systems and applications, while supporting the Trust's migration to modern Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft 365, Windows 11 and cloud-based device management.

The role requires strong technical expertise across endpoint management platforms such as Microsoft Intune, SCCM, Active Directory and related technologies, together with an understanding of cyber security, software deployment, Group Policy and configuration management. The post holder will provide technical leadership, contribute to infrastructure improvements and change initiatives, work collaboratively with third-party suppliers and internal teams, and ensure that endpoint services remain secure, resilient and aligned with the Trust's digital strategy.

### Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for supporting and developing the Trust's endpoint infrastructure, ensuring that desktop, laptop, tablet and peripheral devices are deployed, maintained and managed effectively across the organisation. They will provide expert technical support for endpoint technologies, operating systems and applications, contributing to the delivery of secure, reliable and modern digital services.

Working closely with colleagues, suppliers and managed service partners, the post holder will lead on device configuration, software deployment, operating system upgrades, endpoint management, cyber security and configuration management. They will also contribute to infrastructure improvement projects, champion best practice, maintain technical documentation and support the continuous development of the Trust's digital workplace.

### Job responsibilities

The Endpoint Engineer is responsible for supporting, maintaining and developing the Trust's endpoint infrastructure, ensuring the secure, reliable and efficient delivery of desktop, laptop, tablet and peripheral services across clinical and corporate environments. Working as part of the Digital Infrastructure team, the post holder will provide technical expertise in endpoint management, software deployment, cyber security and configuration management, using technologies such as Microsoft Intune, SCCM, Active Directory and Group Policy. The role will contribute to digital transformation projects, support service improvements and work collaboratively with colleagues, managed service partners and third-party suppliers to ensure endpoint services remain secure, resilient and aligned with the Trust's digital strategy.

## Person Specification

### Experience

**Essential**

- Experience working within an IT support or infrastructure environment
- Experience of endpoint deployment and configuration (e.g. desktops, laptops, tablets)
- Experience of supporting Microsoft operating systems (Windows 10/11)
- Experience of working with device and application management tools (e.g. SCCM, Intune, Active Directory)
- Experience of working with users in a large organisational environment
- Experience of troubleshooting complex technical issues and delivering resolutions

**Desirable**

- Experience within an NHS or healthcare environment
- Experience of supporting Microsoft 365 migrations or upgrades
- Experience of application packaging and deployment
- Experience working with outsourced IT providers or third-party suppliers

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- Demonstrable training or experience in Microsoft technologies (e.g. Windows, M365)

**Desirable**
