We have an exciting opportunity in our Digital Projects and Programmes team for a Digital Project Manager. This is a great opening for someone with project management experience to join Dorset County Hospital.

We are looking for someone who has great communications skills and is experienced in utilising project management methodologies to work as a key member of a dynamic team of project staff. We deliver a broad range of digital projects that transform services, changing the way that care is provided to patients and enabling the organisation to become more efficient and effective.

You will be responsible for the management of project delivery from initiation to testing and handover, driving projects forward to achieve expected outcomes. The successful candidate will be proactive and approachable with a good eye for detail and the ability to quickly form good working relationships.

As a key player in projects, you will be keen to develop your own skills promoting continual personal improvement.

### Main duties of the job

Managing all aspects of project delivery, the Digital Project Manager is expected to have ownership of a wide range of project tasks and documentation across multiple projects which will require focus and the ability to prioritise your workload. A good understanding of the culture around adoption of technology is advantageous.

Our project teams work to tight timescales and have robust processes around project documentation, working within pre-defined workstreams. A Digital Project Manager will demonstrate an ability to use project management techniques to deliver achievable benefits and following strict guidelines such as information governance and clinical safety. The ability to bring the right people together to deliver successful change is paramount while appreciating operational pressures have an impact on capacity and resource.

The Project Manager will be expected to support the Head of Digital Projects and Programmes in the development of other team members.

- Highly skilled in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including MS- Project. MS-Excel and Internet Explorer
- IT, Audio and visual equipment literate
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Confident and an ability to motivate and inspire confidence in others.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and equally effective as part of or with key responsibilities in a multi-disciplinary team.
- Negotiates and influences effectively with internal and external contacts.
- Able to plan and prioritise project workload to meet deadlines and deal effectively with conflicting priorities.
- Ability to analyse a range of facts and situations, coupled with the ability to assess and compare options where required.

- Working knowledge of IT industry.
- Experience of managing projects
- Experience of working in the NHS or health sector in a project related capacity

- Experience of managing clinical or business change
- Proven team working
- Proven supervisory skills

**Desirable**

- Experience of supporting the implementation of complex multidisciplinary DT& I related projects
- Knowledge of NHS clinical systems
- Experience of managing process mapping
- Experience of issuing and analysing complex data including reports, audits and surveys for projects

### Education, Qualifications and Training

**Essential**

- Degree or equivalent qualifications and/or equivalent practical experience.
- Prince2 practitioner or equivalent practical experience

- Relevant qualifications or study e.g., Agile, ITIL etc.
