Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Digital Nurse to join our Clinical Digital Team and support the delivery of our ambitious Digital Strategy.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the implementation of innovative digital solutions that improve patient care, enhance staff experience and support the delivery of high-quality healthcare services across the Trust.

As a  Digital Nurse, you will be a key member of the Clinical Digital Team, supporting the planning, development and delivery of high-quality training and education programmes for clinical users of digital healthcare systems and technologies.

You will work closely with clinical teams, Digital Transformation colleagues, ICT services and system suppliers to ensure staff have the knowledge, skills and confidence to use digital systems effectively as part of their day-to-day practice.

The role will involve delivering multidisciplinary training, providing learner support, facilitating system adoption and helping to embed new ways of working that support safer, more efficient patient care.

## Person Specification

### Experience

**Essential**

- Recent or current experience in clinical practice
- Evidence of ability to mentor
- Demonstrate leadership skills and ability to effectively lead a team
- Demonstrate an ability to prioritise own workload and respond appropriately to urgent situations
- Produce timely, accurate written/electronic records and documents utilising and interpreting complex information
- Ability to manage change efficiently and effectively
- Ability to convey sensitive information in an empathetic manner to patients, relative/carers and staff
- Evidence of delivering training and assessing either formally or informally
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
- Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills
- Highly motivated and enthusiastic

**Desirable**

- Audit or research within the clinical area
- Successful implementation and management of a change process
- Evidence of negotiation and influencing skills
- Experience of providing formal teaching sessions

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
- Recognised training, coaching or mentoring qualification or equivalent experience
- Degree or equivalent experience

**Desirable**

- Continuing professional development/reflective profile
- Formal leadership and management training
- Research training/experience
- ECDL or equivalent

### Further Training

**Essential**

- Evidence of attendance at relevant mandatory training and professional development, events and activities
- Completed IG training to the level appropriate to role

### Knowledge Requirements

**Essential**

- Ability to communicate both written and verbally at a level appropriate to the role
- Excellent administration skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent team working skills
- Specialist knowledge of an clincial digital systems

**Desirable**

- Demonstrate effective resource management

- Regular attendance, willing to work flexible hours when required
