We are delighted to offer a Digital Communications & Content Apprenticeship in our PR & Communications Team. This exciting role is a fantastic opportunity to support the Digital Communications Team, whilst gaining a Multi-Channel Marketer Level 3 qualification. Our team works hard to create audience-focused digital content for our patients, staff & stakeholders that is user-friendly, intuitive & engaging. Your role will be integral in delivering our schedule of content accurately & on time. You will gain experience in photography & videography, producing content to a high standard in line with CUH identity guidelines, supported by the Digital Content Producer. Candidates should be friendly, adaptable, well organised, enthusiastic, self-motivated & forward thinking with excellent communication & organisational skills, with the ability to use their own initiative, have good attention to detail, be able to multi-task & manage their time efficiently as well as being able to adapt to change.

### Main duties of the job

As an apprentice you will provide creative digital content, project and administrative support to the Communications Team whilst developing practical skills in digital communications. Working under supervision, you will help plan, create, publish and evaluate content across the Trust's digital channels, including websites, social media, digital screens and multimedia content. You will work as a key member of the Digital Communications Team to assist in the maintenance of our CUH website, producing creative content, including evidence-based digital campaigns, using the Trust’s channels and providing a responsive, efficient and effective engagement and communications service for staff, volunteers and other stakeholders. You will gain experience across a broad range of digital communications activities while undertaking a recognised apprenticeship programme, with opportunities to contribute to wider communications projects and activities across the department.

Come and join us and be supported to earn as you learn whilst undertaking a nationally recognised qualification. You will study a Multi-Channel Marketer Level 3 Apprenticeship. You will need to have minimum GCSE Grade 4/C or Functional Skills Level 2 or above in Maths and English. You will be enthusiastic, have a positive work ethic and be keen to learn. We are a busy Communications Team and you must be able to adapt to changing environments and situations. The contract length is for 21 months and the apprenticeship salary on commencement is £16,258; after 12 months in post this will increase to the National Minimum Wage. The Trust is proud of its values of Together – Safe, Kind and Excellent and looks to provide its staff with support, training and progression opportunities. You will receive support and advice to gain a wide range of experience and skills, supervision and mentoring from the department throughout the post as well as additional support from a dedicated Apprenticeship Team. You will also gain support in applying for your next step in employment towards the end of your apprenticeship contract. We have a high percentage of previous apprentices who have successfully gained further employment with us with opportunities to gain higher qualifications.

- Passionate about digital and have a creative flair

- Demonstrable experience of adapting to changing environments and situations

- Ability to organise and manage own time keeping to schedules and deadlines

### Knowledge

**Essential**

- A solid understanding of social media and content creation
- Knowledge of how to use digital tools effectively
- Understands how digital platforms integrate into the working environment
- Understands and follows the required data protection legislation to protect patient and staff data across digital and social media platforms

**Desirable**

- Knowledge of the Trust including awareness of priorities
- Awareness of NHS targets and Trust priorities

### Experience

**Essential**

- Experience of working in a busy clerical/office environment or reception service
- Prioritising, planning and organising own tasks
- Working within guidelines
- Experience of dealing with difficult situations and confrontations
- Data entry experience and documentation
- Experience of IT packages – Microsoft office
- Experience of producing documents to a high standard

**Desirable**

- Previous experience of working in NHS
- Experience in using content management systems

### Qualifications

- English & Maths GCSE at Grade 4/C or above (or an equivalent level of Literacy and Numeracy skills (If you do not have any qualifications for literacy or numeracy a test can be taken, so this should not put you off applying) )
