An exciting opportunity has arisen for motivated and enthusiastic Band 5 Dietitians to join the Divisional Dietetic Team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. We have permanent and fixed-term contract posts available across our acute adult Dietetic services, offering an excellent opportunity for newly qualified Dietitians, those awaiting HCPC registration, or Dietitians seeking to develop their clinical skills within one of the largest NHS Trusts in England.

Our Dietetic Division works across multiple hospital sites, including North Manchester General Hospital, Manchester Royal Infirmary, Wythenshawe Hospital and Trafford General Hospital, providing high-quality nutritional care to a diverse patient population. You will be part of a supportive, friendly and forward-thinking service with access to senior clinical expertise, structured supervision, preceptorship, appraisal and continuing professional development opportunities.

This is an ideal role for Dietitians who are keen to build strong generalist foundations while gaining exposure to a wide range of clinical specialities. You will be encouraged to contribute to service development, student training, education, CPD activities and wider divisional initiatives, whilst being supported to grow your confidence, competence and longer-term career aspirations.

### Main duties of the job

You will manage a varied clinical caseload across acute wards and outpatient services, with opportunities to work within areas such as general medicine, surgery, gastroenterology, trauma and orthopaedics, respiratory, cardiology, care of the elderly and other specialist services depending on site and service need.

The role will involve assessing patients’ nutritional status, making dietetic diagnosis, developing and implementing evidence-based nutritional care plans, monitoring outcomes and adapting interventions to support patient-centred goals. You will consider medical, psychological, social, environmental and cultural factors when planning care, ensuring that patients receive safe, effective and individualised dietetic input. \[

You will work closely with multi-disciplinary colleagues, including nurses, doctors and other AHP's, with support from senior and specialist Dietitians. Excellent communication, organisation, prioritisation and team-working skills are essential, alongside a flexible and proactive approach to clinical practice.

### Educational qualifications / state registrations

- - State registration via Health and Care Professions Council

- - Registered member of the British Dietetic Association
- - NHS experience or equivalent clinical experience
