This is an exciting opportunity for a recently qualified, innovative and motivated Dietitian to develop and deliver a comprehensive Nutrition and Dietetic service across Lochaber, Wester Ross and the surrounding area. Working closely with senior colleagues, you’ll gain experience across community and acute settings, supported by the wider NHS Highland Dietetic service.

The role offers broad clinical experience, including general medicine, older adult care, surgery and orthopaedics, renal, oncology, diabetes and paediatrics. You will provide care to inpatients, outpatients and day patients across a range of settings such as a rural general hospital, outpatient clinics, care homes and domiciliary visits.

As a Community Dietitian, you’ll be a key member of integrated community team ensuring patients receive the right care in the right place at right time. There are excellent opportunities for growth and development through CPD and training, involvement in prevention/ early intervention work, quality improvement and service development. This makes it an ideal post for a newly qualified Dietitian or someone wishing to broaden their community experience.

You’ll benefit from clinical supervision and robust support from experienced senior and specialist staff, and will have the chance to contribute to student training within the PAL model.

We’re looking for someone who is self‑motivated, team‑focused, an excellent communicator and committed to improving patient care. Experience with motivational interviewing and an understanding of health inequalities would be advantageous.
