The Band 7 role based at Northwick Park Hospital requires an experienced, dynamic nurse with extensive knowledge and understanding. You will need to be flexible and forward thinking, able to work independently and as part of a busy friendly and supportive team delivering specialist nursing care to a diverse caseload. There will be a strong focus providing high standard inpatient & outpatient care and using innovative virtual ward pathways to reduce hospital admission and length of stay.  The post holder will require excellent communication and clinical skills and have previous experience delivering high standard care for people living with diabetes. They will need a commitment to education to ensure the service remains current in developments in the management of people with diabetes. In return we will offer you a comprehensive induction and development programme with robust mentorship and clinical supervision opportunities. ### Main duties of the job The post holder will work as part of the diabetes & endocrine multi-disciplinary team which provides Tier 4 diabetes services to adults and young people between 16 – 19 yrs. The post holder will be responsible for assessing, developing and implementing specialist endocrine nursing procedures - To help lead the education of patients in an understanding of diabetes and the treatment/management of diabetes and its complications.
