Are you a highly motivated Dietitian passionate about improving the nutritional care and quality of life of stroke patients?

We are looking for an enthusiastic Dietitian to join the Integrated Community Stroke Service (ICSS) at Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (CFT).

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a core member of a specialist multidisciplinary team alongside therapists, rehabilitation technicians, psychologists, and stroke specialist nurses, supporting stroke survivors across Cornwall. The role offers excellent opportunities to further develop your clinical skills, contribute to service development, deliver training, and engage in continuing professional development within both the ICSS and the Dietetic Department.

The successful candidate will provide specialist dietetic assessment and intervention for stroke patients, including supporting patients with enteral feeding requirements, within community settings and patients' own homes. The ability to travel to different locations in a timely manner is essential.

Applications are welcomed from Band 5 Dietitians looking for a development opportunity, as well as existing Band 6 Dietitians. A Band 5 to Band 6 developmental pathway is available for the right candidate, subject to meeting agreed competencies and service requirements.

### Main duties of the job

As part of the Integrated Community Stroke Service you will:

- Work as part of the Cornwall Partnership Foundation Trust (CFT) Nutrition and Dietetic team providing dietetic support and advice to patients and Health Professionals in the area of stroke working across the community stroke pathway in Cornwall.
- To plan and deliver a high-quality Nutrition and Dietetic service within the ICSS Team and contribute to service development as required.
- To undertake direct and non-direct clinical work that contributes to the delivery of a high quality safe and effective dietetic service.
- To develop appropriate resources as required.
- To keep accurate records in accordance with CFT and Health Professions Council regulations/policy.
- To work as both an autonomous practitioner and alongside the senior stroke dietician delivering a high quality dietetic service to patients on the ICSS.

### Skills and Aptitude

**Essential**

- An ability to communicate with a wide range of people and using differing medias.

**Desirable**

- Post registration experience of delivering in- and outpatient dietetic care.

### Knowledge and Abilities

**Essential**

- An ability to assess success, interpret data & write reports.
- An ability to demonstrate best dietetic practice for a range of conditions
- Able to follow processes & procedures; ability to evaluate these & provide solutions to maximise efficiency.

### Education and Qualifications

**Essential**

- Degree in Nutrition/Dietetics or equivalent leading to Health Professions Council (HCPC)

**Desirable**

- Experience of working with adult patients with Stroke
- Post dietetic registration experience.
- Member of BDA
- A teaching qualification or experience of teaching groups.
