This is an opportunity for a skilled radiographer with strong radiology IT experience to play a key role in maintaining safe, efficient and high-performing digital imaging services across Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire. You will work closely with the Radiology Systems Manager, clinical teams, administrative colleagues, Digital Data and Technology, and system suppliers to ensure radiology systems support timely diagnosis, effective workflows and excellent patient care. The role combines specialist systems leadership, service improvement, training, governance, data quality and operational support, with the opportunity to contribute to system upgrades, new modality integration, business continuity planning and wider radiology transformation. We are seeking someone who is proactive, flexible and collaborative, with excellent communication skills and a commitment to high standards of clinical governance, information governance and service continuity. ### Main duties of the job The Deputy Radiology Systems Manager will support the day-to-day management, administration and development of PACS, RIS and associated radiology information systems, ensuring systems are reliable, effective and responsive to service needs. You will provide specialist advice and first-line support to clinical and administrative users, analyse complex system and workflow issues, coordinate fault resolution, monitor system performance and help maintain robust audit trails, access controls, data quality processes and asset records. The post holder will support training, quality assurance, image transfer, system configuration, upgrades, new equipment and modality integration, business continuity arrangements and improvement projects. The role will also include supervising PACS/RIS administrative staff, supporting safe service continuity and deputising for the Radiology Systems Manager when required. ### Detailed job description and main responsibilities You will be able to find a full job description and person specification attached within the supporting documents. Progressive attitude towards CPD management and prioritisation of workloads. - Experience of computed and digital radiography including PACS. - Experience of working in the NHS. - Involvement in either project management or a change management process. - Experience of IT developments - Experience of team management and supervision. - Experience in a wide range of Radiographic Techniques with a range of Radiography Equipment. - Qualified with significant experience to include experience as a Band 6 Radiographer. **Desirable** - Experience of demand and capacity analysis - Able to demonstrate an awareness of managing resources. - Experience in personnel management - Experience in purchasing/commissioning equipment. ### Qualifications and Knowledge **Essential** - BSc (Hons) or equivalent in Diagnostic Radiography - HCPC registration as a Radiographer - Comprehensive, in-depth knowledge of Radiology IT and PACS systems experience gained through attendance at relevant short courses / study days and attendance at other sites relevant to PACS / RIS administration - Data Protection Regulations / Caldicott principles.
