As the Deputy OSM (DOSM), you will be responsible for leading on a number of key operational and quality criteria within the business unit.

You will be responsible for monitoring and forecasting demand and capacity, and ensuring patient access issues are identified and resolved promptly. You will provide leadership and operational management skills to support multiple administrative teams, escalating to the OSMs where appropriate and deputising for them.

You will line manage, develop and support administrative and clerical staff, while also leading on improving the efficiency and quality of administrative processes and the smooth running of all administrative processes working closely with non-clinical and clinical teams at all times.

You will strive for excellence, playing a key role in planning, organising and developing systems and processes.

You will actively support the OSMs in the operational management of the department. You will be expected to work across all three of the HHFT sites.

### Main duties of the job

To be responsible for the organisation and management of the administration staff within the service and be responsible for all aspects of line management, including staff performance, staffing issues.

To lead, with the direction of the OSM, the effective planning and recruitment of staff within the business unit.

Arrange and attend regular departmental meetings.

To support the preparation of business and operational plans.

Oversee risk register and incidents for the business unit (BU).
