### Main duties of the job

This role provides the following services to the Trust: - Youll be responsible for supporting the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS, Ofsted requirements, and the nurserys policies and procedures. Youll play a large part in helping to lead, mentor, and support the nursery team at Mosaic, promoting a positive, collaborative, and professional culture while ensuring staff development and performance are maintained to a high standard. Youll help the manager to collaborate with a range of individuals, building strong, trusting relationships with families and external agencies, supporting each childs development and wellbeing, and ensuring the nursery is always prepared for Ofsted inspections.

What you will bring to the role

Excellent understanding of EYFS.

Extensive knowledge of safeguarding children.

Have experience at managing day care settings with knowledge of all Ofsted Welfare Requirements for children and inspection procedures

To have experience supporting team members to achieve good outcomes of Ofsted inspections, Quality Assurance Schemes, Local Authority initiatives.

- Ability to take charge of the service in the absence of the Nursery Manager, in conjunction with the Early Years Professional.
- Ability to work the required shift patterns to support the needs of the service.
- Ability to line manage staff teams of up to 25 members, providing support and leadership.
- Ability to involve the team in decision making and problem solving, delegate work appropriately and meet deadlines and targets.
- Ability to support the manager in leading and managing change.
- Ability to prioritise own and team workloads and achieve deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external agencies, Ofsted, parents and staff.
- Ability to take the lead in the Senco role, working in partnership with the EYP, practitioners, parents and relevant agencies.
- Ability to devise Individual Educational Plans to support the child's individual needs and next steps.
- Ability to network with other agencies to benchmark services and gather information for report building.

### Qualifications

- A childcare qualification recognised by Ofsted. (NNEB, CACHE, BTEC or NVQ in childcare) - Level 3
