### Main duties of the job

- The post holder will deputise for the Head of Healthcare supporting delivery of strategic goals for the service and those of HMP Coldingley leadership team.
- The post holder will support leadership of a multidisciplinary team alongside colleagues, subcontracted and other partners/organisations paying special and constant attention to ensuring CNWL and HMP Coldingley staff work in an integrated way to develop a ‘One Team’ approach.
- Support Cordingley’s HoH and team to provide high quality healthcare services that are constantly reviewed to ensure they meet the needs of prisoners in custody and that includes the involvement of service users and family in planning care and services.
- Operationally manage designated services within healthcare at HMP Coldingley to ensure an equitable service to that available in the community. The post holder is responsible for ensuring that the highest quality, evidence-based services are provided.

### Detailed job description and main responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY

The post holder will be an experienced healthcare professional who also has excellent staff management skills. They will support the Head of Healthcare to manage and develop the Healthcare team to achieve a targeted and appropriate service, delivered in accordance with evidence-based practice and local policies and procedures. The post holder will have direct line management responsibilities for senior staff.

The post holder will proactively lead healthcare teams to further develop services and clinical pathways, nurse led minor ailment clinics, sexual health clinics and immunisation programmes. In addition, the post holder will have a key role in implementing the male health promotion strategy and ‘Positive Health Programme’

The post holder will work closely with the Head of Healthcare to develop and implement an effective healthcare Strategy for HMP Coldingley.

There will be occasions when the post holder will be expected to deputise for the Head of Healthcare in his/her absence.

- Prior experience of working in a secure setting e.g prison, YOI, secure school
- Experience of developing policies and procedures

### Education and Qualifications

- Registered Healthcare Professional (Nurse, Psychologist/ Paramedic etc)
- Evidence of Continuous Professional Development
- Degree Level Qualification

- Non-Medical Prescriber
