An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Finance Business Partner to join the NHS Financial Management team on a 12-month fixed-term basis. The postholder will support the Divisions of Surgery & Anaesthetics and Women, Children & Young People, providing high-quality financial management, analysis and advice to clinical and operational leaders.

Working closely with Divisional Management Teams, the role will focus on budget setting, forecasting, financial reporting and supporting delivery of cost improvement programmes. The successful candidate will help ensure robust financial control while enabling services to deliver safe, effective and sustainable patient care.

### Skills

**Essential**

- Advanced level analytical and interpretative skills and evidence of effective implementation
- Ability to create and present highly complex finance, activity and performance information to a wide audience
- Evidence of sound financial judgement
- Evidence of policy and procedure development and implementation

### Knowledge

**Essential**

- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the NHS finance environment, including NHS Improvement’s financial requirements
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of financial reporting skills and techniques
- Knowledge and understanding of strategic and operational planning, budgeting, contracting and performance monitoring

### Experience

**Essential**

- Broad finance department experience and understanding
- Experience of operating at a senior level in a hospital finance environment
- A record of achievement in managing and improving NHS financial management services

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- AAT qualified or as a minimum actively studying for a CCAB qualification
- Qualified/ Passed Finalist
