If you’re an experienced Pharmacy Technician ready for more responsibility and looking for a fresh challenge, we’ll make sure you have the support, training, and resources to succeed. ### Main duties of the job - To organise and manage the provision of all dispensary-based services, including inpatients, outpatients, and controlled drugs to agreed performance targets with guidance and support from the dispensary manager. - To supervise staff and activities in the dispensary to ensure that all work in completed accurately, promptly and in order of priority. - To implement planned service developments effectively. - To supervise investigation of stock level discrepancies within the dispensary and to liaise with stores senior staff for stock transfers from stores, writing off expired stock and to correct stock level discrepancies. - To answer queries, both on the telephone and in person, with medical, nursing staff and patients and seek help from a pharmacist when necessary. - To be an accredited checking pharmacy technician (ACPT). - To investigate clinical incidents occurring in the dispensary. This will involve completion of dispensing error investigation forms when errors are reported; retrieval of patient records/dispensing records and discussion with staff involved in the incident.
