The Deputy Chief Operating Officer (Deputy COO) deputises for the Chief Operating Officer across the operations portfolio and provides leadership of Trust operations on a daily basis working closely with triumvirate teams and executives.

They will lead on delivery of the Trust’s core performance and quality standards related to ED, cancer, diagnostics and elective care including recovery. They will also lead key strategic changes to how HDFT delivers care in partnership with Divisional Teams in areas such as ED, patient flow and theatre productivity.

### Interview

**Essential**

- Masters qualification or undertaking Master’s Degree/MBA or equivalent experience
- Extensive leadership and senior management experience in an acute healthcare provider setting.
- Substantial management experience and achievement at operational level plus evidence of achievement in strategic level projects or work streams.
- Substantial evidence of further Leadership and Management qualifications, further postgraduate study or equivalent experience.

**Desirable**

- Experience in the mobilisation of integrated services
