We have an exciting opportunity in the Urgent and Emergency Care CYP&F Service for a motivated leader to join our team. The successful applicant must be transformational in their practice and be skilled at developing quality services that are coproduced with stakeholders - including children, young people and their families.

Managing people, leading on projects, quality management and service design are key areas to showcase your knowledge and skills (some may be transferable)

### Main duties of the job

Support the Head of Clinical Service in the operational delivery of safe and effective clinical services, providing leadership, support, supervision, appraisal and performance management to qualified and support staff, liaising closely with other health teams, Social Services and Voluntary Agencies to maximise service provision and optimise patient care. Work collaboratively with the Head of Clinical Services, Head of Operations and Associate Director of Operations and the Strategic and Business Lead to support and influence the strategic development of services in line with national and local priorities, internally and across organisations. Responsible for supporting the contribution (including performance), development and wellbeing of the staff they directly line manage and ensuring direct reports do the same for staff they are responsible for. Oversee a culture in which staff are enabled to be the best they can be. Please refer to the job description and person specification

### Experience

**Essential**

- Evidence of considerable management experience underpinned by in depth study and experiential learning e.g. experience of working in a clinical setting at a senior level, i.e. Team Leader or above.
- Evidence of leadership and change management.
- Evidence of innovation.

**Desirable**

- Research and Audit

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- Recognised qualifications to degree level or equivalent.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.

**Desirable**

- Master’s degree in relevant field or equivalent post graduate validated courses and experience.
- ECDL or equivalent.

### Knowledge and Expertise

**Essential**

- Up to date knowledge of modern service delivery and national plans for health and social care.
- Budget management.
- Understanding of project management methodology and approaches.
- Understanding of service improvement tools and techniques.
- Knowledge of clinical governance and the Health Care Standards.
- Knowledge of the relationship between Commissioners, Providers, Local Authority and third sector.
