### Applicant requirements

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.

## Person Specification

### Experience

**Essential**

- Proven post registration experience, in the relevant specialism
- Experience of planning and completing audit and research
- Experience of teaching and mentoring of staff
- Experience of undertaking projects

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- HCPC registration
- Relevant professional degree
- Attendance at masters level post graduate courses relevant to the specialist area or equivalent
- ADOS trained
- Membership of a relevant professional body & related specialist subgroups

**Desirable**

- Communication skills training
- DISCO and/ or SCERTS training

### Knowledge and Expertise

**Essential**

- Post registration knowledge which is relevant to the specialist area
- In depth knowledge of recent NHS legislation, and recommendations for specialist area
- Detailed awareness of the national and local priorities and changing trends in the specialist area
- Working knowledge of child protection issues
