As part of our ambitious Culture Transformation Programme, we are seeking two enthusiastic, innovative and motivated Culture Improvement Practitioners to join our Strategy Directorate.

This is a rare opportunity to help shape the culture of one of the South West's largest NHS organisations. Working closely with the Head of Transformation, Deputy Chief Strategy Officer, divisional leaders and colleagues across the Trust, you will play a key role in delivering our Culture Transformation Programme and embedding a culture where everyone feels cared for, listened to, valued and empowered to improve.

You will design and deliver organisational development interventions, culture improvement initiatives, coaching programmes and engaging training that support colleagues at every level of the organisation. You will also help develop and support our growing network of Culture Improvement Ambassadors, enabling sustainable cultural change across clinical, operational and corporate teams.

### Main duties of the job

Supporting the delivery of RCHT's Culture Transformation Programme.

Designing and delivering culture improvement and organisational development interventions.

Coaching leaders, teams and individuals to build inclusive, compassionate and improvement-focused cultures.

Developing and facilitating engaging training sessions, workshops and large-scale culture events.

Supporting and mentoring our Culture Improvement Ambassador network.

Working alongside colleagues in Freedom to Speak Up, Patient Safety and Quality Improvement to drive sustainable cultural change.

Developing impactful communications, engagement campaigns and promotional materials.

Measuring and evaluating the impact of culture improvement activities and reporting progress to senior stakeholders.

Supporting Divisional Leadership Teams to identify cultural challenges and co-design interventions that improve colleague experience and team effectiveness.

Delivering coaching and development support to leaders and teams to embed compassionate, inclusive and improvement-focused ways of working.

Supporting the development of meaningful measures and evaluation frameworks to understand the impact of culture improvement initiatives.

Acting as a culture improvement expert and advocate across the organisation, promoting best practice and shared learning.

Building partnerships both within and beyond RCHT to share learning and best practice.

### Applicant requirements

## Person Specification

### Experience

**Essential**

- Experience of using and applying Organisational Development methodology and approaches
- Experience of delivering training and education + Experience of coaching
- Ability to support and facilitate large groups via workshops and multidisciplinary meetings + Clear communicator with excellent writing, report writing and presentation skills; capable of constructing and delivering clear ideas and concepts concisely and accurately for diverse audiences + Highly experienced in stakeholder analysis & management across multiple sectors, at times in complex and contentious environments
- Experience in communications and stakeholder management, including assisting in producing communications plans, key messaging, and narratives + Clear communicator with excellent writing, report writing and presentation skills; capable of constructing and delivering clear ideas and concepts concisely and accurately for diverse audiences
- Problem solving: having the capacity to analyse complex problems in a logical and structured way using qualitative and quantitative information, supporting the generation of innovative solutions and adapting approaches to problem-solving to achieve sustainable outcomes cost effectively + Experience of working independently, making informed decisions, and achieving objectives whilst working with continually changing demands and priorities
- Ability to interpret national guidance to develop change programs to deliver national best practice across the organisation

**Desirable**

- Experience of supporting projects in complex and challenging environments + Experience of using quality improvement methodology and tools

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- Educated to Degree level or equivalent relevant experience within an Organisational development / culture improvement environment o Masters level or equivalent
- Project/change management training/experience to Post Graduate degree level or equivalent experience
- Evidence or continuous professional development and up to date knowledge of best practice culture improvement science & methodologies

**Desirable**

- Project Management Qualification – i.e. PRINCE2 or Quality Improvement Qualification
